National Enforcement Crackdown
August 17 - September 03, 2012

Impaired driving is one of America’s most often committed and deadliest crimes. All 50 States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico have established a threshold making it illegal to drive with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 grams per deciliter or higher. Yet 10,839 people were killed in 2009 involving drivers or motorcycle riders with BACs of .08 or higher. The impaired driving effort is anchored with media buys during the critical enforcement crackdown periods in August and December. Additional resources available: |
