Think Safe, Ride Safe, Be Safe! is a child transportation safety campaign from NHTSA and Ludorum, the producers of the Chuggington television series. The campaign provides parents, caregivers and teachers tools to help children walk, bike, and ride more safely.
Understanding that young children learn best when engaged, Chuggington and NHTSA have partnered to create an interactive traffic safety campaign that delivers life-saving lessons to kids preschool-aged to 3rd grade, all hosted by the "trainees" of Chuggington: Wilson, Koko and Brewster! Lessons focus on four main areas: pedestrian, bus, bike, and car seat safety. Use the materials to teach children traffic safety through a fun and informative Chuggington traffic safety website, topic-specific safety tip sheets, downloadable safety activity materials and more.
Child seat inspection stations can use this toolkit to engage children with entertaining and educational materials while helping parents and caregivers check for proper installation and use of their child seats in a friendly "Chuggington-like" environment.
This toolkit will help convert any child seat inspection station into a Chuggington Recreational Park for car seat safety, including posters, stickers, an activity book, and more.
